PP sheets, also known as polypropylene board, is a plastic sheet made of polypropylene resin through processes such as extrusion, calendering, cooling, and cutting. Polypropylene (PP) is a colorless, odorless, non-toxic, semi transparent solid substance with excellent physical properties and chemical stability.

Characteristics of pp sheets

1. Low density and light weight: The density of pp sheets is only 0.89-0.91g/cm ³, which is the lightest among common plastics and easy to handle and install.

2. Strong corrosion resistance: pp sheets has good corrosion resistance to chemicals such as acid, alkali, and salt, and is suitable for various chemical environments.

3. Good heat resistance: pp sheets has a high melting point and can be used for a long time at around 100 ℃, with a short-term use temperature of up to 120 ℃.

4. Excellent electrical insulation: pp sheets is a non-polar material with excellent electrical insulation properties, suitable for the field of electrical insulation.

5. Good processing performance: pp sheets is easy to cut, weld, bend and other processing, making it convenient to produce products of various shapes and sizes.

Classification of pp sheets

According to different purposes and processing methods, pp sheetss can be divided into the following categories:

1. Pure pp sheets: made of polypropylene as raw material, without adding any additives, it has the characteristics of purity and transparency.

2. Modified pp sheets: By adding toughening agents, flame retardants, anti-static agents and other additives, certain properties of pp sheets can be improved to meet specific needs.

3. Composite pp sheets: Composite pp sheets with other materials (such as metal, wood, etc.) to form a new type of board with multiple properties.

4. Foamed pp sheets: Adding foaming agent to pp sheets to make it lightweight, soundproof, and heat-insulating.

Application areas of pp sheets

Due to its excellent properties, pp sheets is widely used in the following fields:

1. Environmental protection equipment: used for making components such as boards and pipes in wastewater and exhaust gas treatment equipment.

2. Chemical containers: used to make linings and shells for equipment such as chemical reaction vessels and storage tanks.

3. Food packaging: used to make food packaging boxes, tableware, etc., to ensure food safety and hygiene.

4. Electrical industry: used as electrical insulation materials, such as cable protection covers, switch boxes, etc.

5. Architectural decoration: used for the production of indoor and outdoor decorative panels, partitions, billboards, etc.

6. Other fields: It can also be applied to fields such as automobiles, ships,, aerospace, etc.
